As a runner, we all fear the daily niggles of strained muscles. One of the most painful strained muscles surrounds the calves which appear as shin splints – where the calf muscles know and push into your shin. I reckon one of the causes of this is calf bounce. So I bought a set of the Compress Sport Calf Sleeves. Best thing ever. They keep my lower legs warm – no calf bounce whatsoever – and have not experienced shin splints since wearing them (about 3 months now). The added benefit is that the stress all the way from the knee to your ankles is evenly distributed – and knee pain is reduced when wearing these sleeves.
